people laugh when i say this put for the money u cant beat the rockford fosgate p1 subs. the hit HARD in a sealed Box...and they give a nice even rumble in a ported box. hook em up with a amp that features a bass remote.
my old setup was a modified ebay box that only held 2 12's
i modified it 10 hold 2 twelves and 1 ten.
also modified the inside to carry the sound better....
kenwood head unit
2 rockford P1 12" subs
1 rockford p1 10" sub
1 rockford 900 watt peak power amp (i forget the real rms)
everything wired for mono output on the bass
1 rockford 300watt amp
rockford 6x9's
infinity 4x6's--------------------------total budget system that worked...bass wasnt over blaring...it was classic
----------
did i forget to mention that my kenwood dvd unit along with all other componets kept all my passengers asking for rides.....It sounded like a f**8 IMAX theatre in there.
let me know what u finalize on.

I go 2 12" pioneer subs for $60 each plus another $100 for the box (which fits perfectly in the square that we call a trunk. In the back i have 5 x 9 5-way pioneers A set is $50, they can produce hi end noise that only dogs can hear! I got the same 3-ways in the front that u have. My deck is a peice of crap i bought off my friend for $20 but it's just temporary. Me and my friend did all the wiring so all in all I spent like $230 on my entire sound system.

$600 and i'll buy a new set of tires or another car for that matter, but stereo wise i would redo all of the speaker wires and go to a thicker gauge, and prubably get a couple of kicker 12" solobarics, in a custiom box with like a 600 watt amp, i don't know a lot about all this ported and sealed box stuff. so i can't say what kind of box i would have made.

Obtain or build a quality sealed box, get yourself a name brand amplifier, and two name brand subs that you can't buy at Best Buy or Walmart. Stay away from Rockford, Pioneer, etc. Not that they don't make decent equipment, just that they make enough cheap entry level garbage that it's better to just step up to a better brand. Kicker, Alpine, Kenwood, Eclipse, etc. Don't skimp on the wiring either. Wire the subs in parallel with the amp bridged. Do all that and then put the other $450 back in your pocket.

contradictory......
im not here to argue.....but im a true Rockford Fosgate fan. (tempe,az at its best)
Yes the do build entry level equipment.
Yes u can buy alot of it at best buy.
BUT--->just because the brand is sold at a bestbuy/walmart doesnt mean that the BRAND of equipment doesnt have a higher means.
meaning...yeah yeah you can buy entry level rockfords/pioneer at best buy. But u can also get the rockford titanium(t1,t2,t3's) version subs too from mail order/high end audio shop, etc.
so dont step on the name.....just simply step up your game with the higher end equipment for that brand name....
you dig!
