i dont like that, i dont like the idea of a crappy bezel trying to smooth out the fact that the radio doesnt fill the whole thing haha, id just get the right sized cd player to fill it, then you dont need a trim piece, looks 100 times better

That's a matter of opinion. I think the few 1.5 DIN radios out there are cheesy looking, and look just as much like an afterthought as a single DIN radio. At least with the single DIN you can find a tasteful one and flush mount it for a clean look. Plus, the 1.5 DIN's on the market are old models that don't offer any features or flexibility.

I had one of these in my GTP. they are amazing. all the lettering is identical to stock and it gives a much better finish than the cheap kits that make the deck stick out 2"+. only issue is that some decks require that you trim behind due to clearance issue. on my 89 RS, i had to remove the metal brace and trim the vents a bit

Anybody got a pic of a flush-mounted radio? Mine sticks out, and I really wish it looked more like stock.

First my Kenwood PS907:

(This looked much better in person. The camera makes the gap between the radio and trim piece look bad because the cage reflects the flash)

Then my JVC:

One of these days I'll move this radio back another 1/4" (I already moved it a 1/4" after I took the pic) but I'm too busy to bother right now.

I've got enough pics on my cardomain site (http://www.cardomain.com/id/jim85iroc) for you to figure out how to mount your radio the same way.
