Need clarification...please :)

I have 2 Comp VR 4Ohm Subs. I am planning on getting the Hifonics Brutus 1606D amp...unless there are some objections and a better amp has taken over.

I also need 2 6x9's and 2 4x6's. Which ones would you recommend, and would they require another amplifier to be installed? If so, how would i go about this whole opperation, and which amp wiring kit should i get?

Sorry for being a noob, but i want to get this all right on the FIRST try

Thank you in advance for helping me out!

the amp will be fine for that sub , what kind of price rang you looking to spend for the 6x9's and 4x6's , also they wont need to be amped i would recommend you use bass blackers on them tho

are the bass blockers i used

for 4x6's i use Infinity Reference 6422cf i dont have them installed yet i just nought off ebay for 20 bucks =) but as of right now i use pioneer top end 4x6's the best they got forgot there name

and 6x9's i also use the top brand of pioneer's but i plan on chnaging them out after i buy some 5.25 comp speakers

but check out jim's speaker how to here its realy good

Thank you for the detailed reply!

The amp is rated at 1 ohm which gets 1600watts. If i split this...will each sub get 800 watts?

its always best to strt the amp and system with all bass turned off on hu and amp , then set the HU settings then turn the gain up till the wubwoofer sstart to distort , that way you wont blow them

actually you set the gain to match the preamps of your h/u.. you dont turn it up untill it distorts......
----------
800 watts for 2 comp vr's is a bit much.. if they are the new ones... they are rated for 400rms.. but it wont be 800watts .. hifonics puts out about 70-80% of their rrated power.. so i would keep the gain on the amp turned down a little.. so your not blowing those things up
