Re: best subs?
There are hundreds of good possibilities. A good place to start would be to find out what available airspace that box has, and if it's ported, finding out the port dimensions. Finding a sub whose ideal volume is similar to what you have would be a good start. It's also a good idea to decide whether you're looking for boom, sound quality, or a comprimise of the two. Of course your budget is also a huge consideration, as is the rest of the stereo.

Re: best subs?
Jim you have the most killer set up in your camaro dude,
and what i'm looking for is somthing that can bump hard and sounds good with mostly rap.. some rock.. no clue with this whole air space thing.. i was at les schwab one day looking at rims for my car and this dude came up behind me and told me everything i was looking at was "ugly".. then we talked for a bit about camaros and he said if i went to his house he'd give me a free box.. and sure enough, i went there.. the box looks like it's in perfect shape.. there's no cracks or anything in it.. it's got 2 10 in cut outs and a place to screw in an amp in there.. all i know is.. new box's cost around $300 around here.. and i got mine free.. budget wise, i've got about $100-$140 per.. and i have an alpine sterro in my car right now (came with the car) so i know nothing about it.. all i know is it looks like some of the newer sterro's but from what i was told it's a few years old

Re: best subs?
I've heard great things about the Type R's, they seem to be a great deal for 500W RMS speakers. Myself, I went with a single 10" Pioneer TS-W256C which is a 350W RMS and tossed it in a 1.25 Cu Ft. enclosure. I only went with it because the rest of the components are Pioneer. It's definitely more of a sound quality speaker but it hits pretty good for what it is
