Which 4x6 fit in a 1992 firebird WITHOUT modifications and sound good?

Subject says it all. I am looking for speakers that will fit in the dash of a 1992 formula without heat molding or cutting. I have a Kenwood amp that will be supplying around 25 watts RMS to the dash speakers. Which sound good and fit without issue?

Jtufts is right. . they have an awsome cataloge system for just about every make and model. .. but they do charge quite a bit. . . . Find what you want, but buy them from a different place.

a simple fab thing to do is use a heat gun and use the speaker to push down on the heated plastic , its what i did in my 89 tho people say they did not need to do that with there 89 i had to , why , i have no idea but it worked and my plates fit good now

Look at some Pioneer speakers. They sound decent and you can't argue with the price.

There are some Kenwoods that will fit too. That's what I'm going with.

I just threw a set of pioneers into the dash yesterday, only had to drill new holes in the bracket to get them to fit.

Re: Which 4x6 fit in a 1992 firebird WITHOUT modifications and sound good?

when I did speakers in my 92 Firebird way back when - I originally bought plate speakers (with two cones). These would NOT fit. All you need to do is find a 4x6 speaker with a single cone the length of the speaker. That should fit without issue. The plates are what have problems fitting.

Hell yeah I'm rolling with the infinity's up front too. You just can't beat the clarity.

it may sound cheap but head up to walmart and buy 2 sony Xplode 4x6 speakers and they fit no problem. since its such small of a speaker all that really counts on them is the tweeter and they sound great for 40 bucks.

i did the same thing as ricksiroc and have no regrets. honestly they sound great and if you have a nice deck that blocks the bass to them there is no issues with distortion. great bang for your buck imo.
