CD PLAYER SUDDENLY WONT WORK!!!

CD PLAYER SUDDENLY WONT WORK!!!

i installed new carpeting on my camaro and when i went to put the face plate back on the console i saw a quick flash under my dash board...also i have Varad underglow lights installed...they were both workin fine and then after that flash they stopped workin...obviously somethin blew out...just i dont know what else to look at i checked all the wires and connections, fuse's and have had no luck.,..so if anyone might have and idea please let me know. thanks in advance...
