Installing Monsoon CD deck in 91 Formula

WARNING: Complete n00b at this...

But it sounds easy and have heard it's too easy to pay someone to do. I have a Monsoon deck out of a 02 that I want to put in my 91. Do I need any special kits or wiring harness? It sounds like you don't from the posts I've seen, but they don't go into much detail, so I don't know if it's just that easy to install, or if people are just assuming folks have some basic knowledge (which I don't )

Thank you!!

Re: Installing Monsoon CD deck in 91 Formula

I haven't gotten a chance to do it yet, but from what I've seen, the connector on the back is pretty much identical, except for one wire you can run to your speedometer so it gets louder as you go faster. I'm not sure if that's on all of them or not, but you don't need to hook it up. So, pop off the plastic cover, unscrew the 4 screws holding your head unit in, unplug it, plug in the new one, and reassemble.
