Looking at building a system need opinions.
First off. Im on a lower budget and all i really want is just some bump. Nothing massive im not going to be in comps or anything... Just soemthign to get some decent bump and sound. I love beign in cars with system and the girlfriend does to, so just trying to find something more fun to drive around in then the stock system with half the speakers blown...
AMP:MA Audio M700XE
SUBS: Two JBL GTO Series GTO1002D
DASH: JBL GTO527 (Ive been told that 5 1/4'' Speakers will fit in the dash? Not sure if thats correct or not...) If they don't possibly JBL GTO6427
REAR: JBL GTO927 (2-way) or JBL GTO937 (3-way).. Not sure if 2 or 3 way is better choice in this dept.
As for a head unit... I havent a clue. I looked up all JBL because i was told they were decent speakers. Any other suggestions please chime in.
Car will also have DYNAMAT in it. (unless someone recomends something else.)

Okay, if you're not going custom or anything fancy. Go to pepboys or autozone. Now hear me out before you bring on the flames. You can get a deck, base Kenwod or Sony for like 70$ and box w/ amp and wiring for like 100ish. Even comes in a kit. (Box, subs, amp and wiring) Everytime I get a new car that's what I do. It allows me to map my system. With the cheaper stuff I can play with how it mounts, if I want to move the speakers to the kick panels, or the doors, judging by the bass, if I need to add seperate tweets or mids and where to put them, to how the position of the subs. Subs in the back seat, facing up, in the well, down firing, where to and how to mount the amp. Figuring out what custom pieces if any I need, to how to run my amp wires and rca's. How much wires I need. It is very useful. Plus it is instant gratification. Figure an hour or two doing a basic setup and you got more sound than you had before. Then play with it, take a few days or weeks, drive around see what you need to change, what rattles you need to fix, where and how to add the insulation. To finding out if my cheaper mids are getting drowned out by the bass, if I need better sperates and if I need an amp for them. Then buy the subs and amps, if you want better. if the subs take the same airspace than you wont have to change boxes. Plus there will all ways be a person out there that will buy your old stuff, considering if you don't blow them. You'll be in for around 200$ ish. I've done basic setups for people that have sounded good, and they were happy with it. And if you want bigger and better, than you're allready set up for it. Plus it is more budjet friendly. Since you seem like you were just getting started into mobile audio, this is the way to go, you'll learn what sounds good and what sounds like ***.

Re: Looking at building a system need opinions.
I use JBL Power Series (much better than the GTO we loaded up in a friends car pre power series) in my 4x6's and 6x9's. I use the two way 4x6, and the three way 6x9. I had some issues mounting the 6x9's. The foam pad behind the mount needed some persuasion, and I'm prolly gonna have to remount them anyways, as I stripped most of the screws. >.< C'est la vie.
Don't remember if I had issues with the 4x6's, but they have LOTS of mounting holes for just about every OE setup.
Don't have a sub yet, or an amp, almost 100% gonna go with Al Hasse's Memphis Belle AMP and 1000W Sub. Also, you can get the JBL's price matched on Car Domain to rinky dink websites. Use froogle search or pricegrabber or resellerratings or whatever, find the lowest price, then do a price match on Car Domain. I've gotten my speakers for at LEAST $200 less than MSRP.

Subs: http://mach5audio.com/index-2.html check out the MAW10 cheaper but will be some great subs
Amp: you had a 2channel amp.. you need a mono channel for the subwoofer,
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+TXi+7506.html that should be a good amp, assuming you get the 2 D4 MAW5's and wire them down to 1 ohm
Speakers: Phoenix Gold octanes.. they are about 40-50 i think for a pair, but you will definitly not be dissapointed

I dont really have a certain dollar amount for a budget. I'm not going to spend over i would like to say $500. what i picked out probably cost more then $500 but oh well. I know if it cost over like $300 ill buy it peice by peice over a few weeks.
Now you said look at MAW10 then D4 MAW5's... what was thoose. I didnt see them on the website.
Also the Phoenix gold's were only $36.99 at this website for 6X9's
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewc...=29&new_page=1
As for 4x6's on the same website they dont have octanes they have ryvals so should i get the ryvals for the 6X9's also? or just mix both. thy are $26.99.
LIL BASTARD: I dont really want to go that route just because i feal they would just end up breaking in a short amount of time. I want to start off with something a little bit better then thoose. Not top end but a little bit higher up then that route.

when i said D4 MAW's i was referring to the voice coil configuration.. sorry should have stated that. dual 4ohm voice coils will wire down to 1ohm thats why i picked that amp, but even though those PG speakers are cheap, i've heard comments one after the other saying that they were really good speakers for such a low price.. these are definitly going to be my next pair of speakers since they dont cost much

Re: Looking at building a system need opinions.
i agree with the memphis choice but as far as the head unit goes ill stick with eclipse my cd3000 has never skipped on me yet and it reads cds that are so scratched that even my computer won't burn them. so memphis and eclipse.
if memphis name brand is too far out of your budget try the street edge lable same stuff differant name.
