bad ground?

bad ground?

i just recently put subs and an amp in my 91 ta. as soon as i turn the stereo on the subs make a constant thumping sound is this a bad ground or a bad connection somewhere?? any help is appreciated thanx

Some call it motor boating and it's caused by a high resistance in the power supply wires, ground or B+. Check at the battery, fuse holder, and ground.

the rcas on the back of ur radio are blown or stopped working whatever u want to call it that happened to me and i just replaced my headunit and it fixed the problem try switching it out with a different one. see if that fixes it.

either the rcas are bad or your getting road noise.. did you run your rcas on the same side of the car as your power wire?
