Do you have the mounting brackets!? I believe i have some if interested. Not sure of your confusion, is there wires going to those holes where the 6x9's belong?

Re: No rear speakers in 89 IROC?
they aren't hard to get in at all...i'm assuming GM used all the same stamped metal to put these cars together, you've got the basics, just not the filler bracket to mount the speaker. Nothing hard, if i've got 4 holes to mount this bracket then good, if not you may have to drill four holes (drill one corner, install screw and do opposite corner so you don't end up accidentally drilling it wrong) other than that, your going to want to hook them up to the rear i would assume, i don'tk now how the bose system is set up. If you guys can fill me in on where the speakers are located and what kind they are (tweeter - highs ; mid range - regular mid sound ; subs - low, deep sound) i might be able to let you know where you should wire in unless someone else taps into this thread first that has experience with bose cars (i do car audio, i have yet to get a bose f-body) Other than that if one of you two can get me a picture of the back with the sail panel speaker grill off i can further instruct you guys on what needs to be done.

no problem, i've taken apart an '84 berlinetta, '86 berlinetta, '87 bird, '88 RS, and an '88 Bird, so if you need any little tiny things i most likely have them.
