Mine's attached to the bottom of my subwoofer box, which just so happens to fit perfectly into that little trench in the back of the 'trunk.'

Re: where to mount amp?
Under one of the front seats is an option. I worked in a stereo shop for 3 years and I have done that very thing in a couple of other third gens (put sub amp under driver seat and 4ch under the passenger) If you have a tall amp I hope you are short or have t-tops or a vert because sometimes you have to shim the seat up. Always leave air space for cooling. Oh and I do not know if you have power seats but it typically wont fit without modifications.
Or if you rarely have more than 2 people in the car u can build a small box or rack to replace or go under one of the rear seat cushions, if u plan on putting it under then u might want to get some small fans for cooling and build the box strong just incase a heavy friend decides to sit back there. Then u run into the fan noise driving u crazy but when it comes to overheating or an annoying buzz its your call.

Re: where to mount amp?
extremely odd thought...don't know how it would work out, but what about in your rear wheel wells, if you aren't worried about your spare tire, you can put it there, or figure out how to put it on your driver side underneath the glove box, or hell, take out your rear speakers, mount it down low, and then put your rear speaker back in, nothing wrong with hiding it where you can fit it and where wires will go inconspicuously. Good thing about being by the rear speaker is that there is the vents to the outside right there so you know there will be fresh air there. just a couple thoughts if you wanna hide it, otherwise under the seat is the only other real place i would suggest hiding it. It would give ample space and air to it that it wouldn't overheat.

Re: where to mount amp?
if you don't go far from home and you have someone willing to bring you it once a year if that....then it's ok not to ride around with it, it's just the long trips you need to bring it with you, of which you can easily throw it in the deep hole in the back
Re: where to mount amp?
i work at AAA. so i can get a tow whenever wherever i want on and wait only 15 minutes max. i have had flats before, but i was always close enough to home, so i just drove home on the flat and changed it with a full size tire myself

Re: where to mount amp?
well glad you found a good spot...you can also clean it up, create a fiberglass enclosure around it if you wanted so that you can take it off and show it off, otherwise, looks great and you'll enjoy it!! Enjoy!

Re: where to mount amp?
iroc, where does your ground go to exactly??? looks like the rear bumper mounting screws. I've heard debates on this topic and the idea behind it is the fact that this being a unibody car, you need to put it into a spot that has many big pieces of the car all in one spot, like the subframe that goes right there, not just a think piece of metal such as the spare tire mount as an example. I don't know, i put an amp into the back of my unibody pathfinder last year with no problem, but i don't know where you put it, so both iroc say where you put your ground to, and arrowcamaro ellaborate on your thoughts behind your comment.
P.S. some of his comment may lead towards the fact that your signal RCA wires are zip tied to your power/ground wires. That WILL give you bad interference, experience here
, but i figured that out the hard way, moved everything around, and got everything right, difference was night and day. it says in the instructions to have the power wire go up one side of the car and the signal wire on the other side, and by the amp try and keep them apart as much as possible.
