Re: stereo noob

The rear speakers are 6x9's. I see you got that. The rear depth should not be a concern. You should have plenty of room. There may be a cloth type baffle behind the speaker. This is to improve on sound. If you don't want to cut the factory wiring plugs off get a female adapter from BBuy or CCIty. I think they are about 10.00. It will plug directly into your factory speaker plug if it is not already cut off. You may have to do a little sugery to get them in. Remove the screw that secures the suit hanger above the sail panel. Pull gently upwards on the sail panel. This will expose the speaker. Four screws around the speaker. Disconnect the plug. Plug in the 10.00 adpater, put wire connections on, and screw speaker back in. This is very easy to do. Just take your time.

Re: stereo noob

Check out crutchfield.com. You don't have to buy from there obviously but if you put in your car's year/model they're good about telling you what fits, what requires modification, etc.

If you buy from them I know they used to include free adapters. I don't know about now. I haven't bought anything from them in a while.
