Alpine cda9856 turns off remote power

Hey guys My system is an Alpine cda9856 head unit and an alpine mrp-m650 mono amp running at 2 ohms with 2 alpine type "S" dual voice coil subs wired to 1 ohm each on 1 channel and a pyle 6 farad hybrid "capbatt" with digital voltage read out 4ga power supply and ground (decent wire) paid $52.50 for 20 feet.

The problem is when I have turn It up the head unit will turn off the the remote until I power cycle the head unit off and on again.

Any insight is appreciated, thanks for reading.

First off, ditch the capacitor, it doesn't do much of anything..

Second- Sounds like the amp is going into thermal shutdown. Are you sure your amp is 1ohm stable? I would take a look at how you wired it and try wiring it for 4ohms and see if it cures it (should).

It is wired at 2 ohms 1x2=2, but that is a good point to make and I'm positive it is the head unit but it was at the exact volume no matter how long it was on for or the initial temperature. I had one way of tricking it to go louder that was to crank the volume up with the sub woofer turned down then turn it back up again.

You have both going at 1ohm going to a mono amp? You've actually taken it down to 1/2 ohm. If you want to run 1 ohm bridged, they need to be wired like this and if the subs are 4 ohm voice coils the picture below is the only way to get them to 1ohm. If they're 2 ohm voice coils you can't take them to 1 ohm, either 8, 2, or 1/2 ohm load.

We are both wrong they are wired at 4 each sorry I ohmed it out with my meter like 5 times through out their existence.
