Radio removal help...

Hey guys, my radio has been acting a bit strange so I am thinking of pulling it out to check it over. The speakers stopped working and the clock no longer holds time or can be set (only reads 10:00), but the radio presets and still there and the unit can be powered on/off (says stereo in blinking light). I am thinking either an internal radio fuse of wiring harness has come loose.

Problem is- how do you remove the console trim and bezel without ripping anything or breaking it )I don't see screws or an easy way to pop it off)? Can anyone who has removed the piece before just give me a few instructions? Thanks for your help.

I don't know if the Camaro radio set up is the same as the T/A but if it is, you just pull the face plate off (pop it out from the bottom first) then there's 4 bolts holding the HU in, remove them and your good to go.

Re: Radio removal help...

Hey, thanks, I took a flat head screwdriver and carefully popped out around like you said. My radio can't be repaired, but I wanted a cd player anyway. I'm looking at factory replacements from like the mid-90s so it looks stock. Do you know anything about the monsoon system? I seen it in a few places but it is much more expensive than a regular cd radio with aux jack in the back.
