sub thump

Axle/Gears: strange s60 4th gen width - 3.73
sub thump

everytime i change songs or stations or do anything to take sound away for even a second. the subs thump. i'm runnin mmats 3.0 subs 12", hifonics brutus amp BXi 1608D, and a clarion deck (don't remember the model number) i have a switch installed from the remote wire to switch off the subs. any help is greatly appreciated! thank you.

what u need is an rca filter its only like 30 bucks from walmart or ask a car stereo place ear u for one its easy to do just hooks up to ur ground and rcas runnin to ur amp and itll keep ur subs from blowin up

could be several differnt things. Could be a bad connection on your rcas... The RCA filter like stated above. Bad ground ect.....

yea figured that out like 4 months ago. it was a faulty amp. there was a short somewhere in the amp. it did it with mine and my friend's subs. jus faulty amp.

check your ground and power cables going to the amp probly touching something making it thump

another thing to check is how you have your rca's runnig to your amp, if you run your rca's close to your power wire, sometimes it will do that as well, its always a good rule of thumb to run your rca's on the other side away from the power wire and remote wire

got it fixed. short in the amp. this was 5 months ago. rcas on the driver side. remote/power on passenger side.
