need help with bose not working
I have an 87 iroc with delco bose. The factory radio was missing so I put a stock radio from a 87 s10 in it. Heres the question, Radio turns on and I know it works cause I listened to it in the s10, But no sound comes out of any of the bose speakers. Will the bose system not work with a non bose radio or is my bose speakers or amp fried or is there any other parts that make it work, like a control box or something hidden in the dash? I want to keep it as factory as possible any knowlege about this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: need help with bose not working
Bose systems have a wire(pink i believe)that needs
hooked up to turn on the amps(one at each speaker)
Also radios used with bose system are preamp output
only,so if used with the amplified radio from the s-10
the volume will max out as soon as the volume is
barely turned up.

Re: need help with bose not working
I hooked the pink wire up and and it was too loud just like you said. So i put in a pioneer cd player and wire in a set of rca adapter to the stock wiring harness and hooked the pink wire to the amp remote wire and everything works normal. Thanks for the help
