Speaker size factory rear location

I have some 'shaker' brand 6x9's that came with another car....They sound amazing and I want to use them in one of my cars. I've determined that they won't fit in my daily without some cutting....So I was wondering if they'd fit into my 85 T/A in the factory rear sail panel locations????

BTW: I tried searching, but I couldn't really find anything to confirm this....although it appears they will fit?

Thanks man.....Now I am even more anxious for the spring. I got a nice JVC headunit and dash speakers last summer in it, but I never touched the rears. So this will finish off my sound upgrade for the T/A...without costing me anything b/c these came with another project!

Zach,

Rears are 6x9's and fronts are 4x6" stock. There a mutitude of speakers you can sub into the stock locations.

Hawk and I have run 8" woofers in the rear

Remember these are woofers NOT subwoofers (woofers play higher).

I mounted mine "free air" (no enclosure) and had no issues. The outside of the car moved a bit

Hey I know them pics

Ya both them set-ups were done more as mid bass with designated drivers run for low bass

The car with the 10's had four 15" X-max sub's powered by two ZPA 0.5's for the real bass, and my car, the blue one with the 8"s, has two ported 10" W7's in the rear powered by a Slash 1000 and is 5.1 suround sound, I jsut wanted something that sounds good

Ya, not a problem , just wanted to add, as most of you already know I am not a fan of oval speakers, so that is y I ran a set of 8" Hertz woofers (note they are woofers not subwoofers) in the 6 x 9 location
