Opinions on JVC head units

I'm looking to replace my factory head unit and trying to decide on which way to go. I have found a couple JVC units that look pretty nice. They are the KD-HDR20 and the KD-HDR60. I like that they both have built-in HD radio and I can connect my iPod to them, and the HDR60 allows you to change the display color to match your factory lighting. I don't want to spend a fortune, and these two units are $100 or $150. I know Alpine and Pioneer are excellent brands, but they are a little pricey when you start adding features like these JVC units have. Anyone own one of these or know anything about them?

Re: Opinions on JVC head units

I don't know anything about those models, but I can tell you about JVC. The JVC i have in my Camaro has been in there for the last four years it is a El Karmelon model with the flip out buttons. I have no complaints about JVC. The model I have is still playing strong. You might look into Pioneer models as they are good as well. I found that the Pioneer models give you more options on them in a decent price range. Look at the Crutchfield website for prices.
