What kind of Amp are you running??
i was just wondering what brand amp, how many watts, and how many speakers you guys are running off the amp.
The reason why i am asking this is because i was planning on getting an Alpine 500W Amp for 2 12' Kicker Comps which max W power is 300W maybe i cud do 250-250. not really sure much about amps.
Thanks for your input!!!

An old PPI 120W rms powering two Dual subs in series. Its not a bad setup for being low end stuff.

Boss 5 channel Diablo. It didn't cost an arm and a leg and it pushes the 4 speakers plus 2 subs great.

Re: What kind of Amp are you running??
I also have some Boss Diablo amps for my daily driver, I have a nice set of the top of the line Pioneer 6.75 seperates up front, 2 cheap 6.5's way in the back and a 12" Pioneer... I'm sure there are better more expensive amps, but I've had them a year +, they sound good / loud and no problems...
I got some Alpine amps and a set of the last MB Quarts made in Germany for my Firebird

Re: What kind of Amp are you running??
never even heard of a Diablo Amp
the model i was looking at was the alpine MRP m500
I would only be using it on my subs tho, just wondering if the 500W would be enough to even place 2 12' sub wit 300W max

ample audio a-series; simple looks, basic features, super cheap used (if you can find em). a little big compared to some of the newer stuff (wouldn't mind getting my hands on some "class-t" or full range class d amps to hide away), but they're paid for and all (but one, my fault) still work great.

Re: What kind of Amp are you running??
arite i plan on getting the Amp in a day or 2. i still cant figure thise out
if i got 2 12' subs that max out at 300W, if i get a 500W mono amp will that power them enough, or do i need a bigger amp.

Re: What kind of Amp are you running??
Don't look at max power, look at the RMS or continuous power. I run an older Memphis Belle 5 channel amp that supplies 1100 watts RMS to the sub channel. My sub is a 12" Memphis MOJO rated at 1000 watts RMS and a max power rating of 2000 watts. Max or peak power is just what that speaker can handle in a short burst, same goes for the amp supplying that power before it clips.
