Re: stock stero problems

I had a radio that would crackle when warm. I ended up having to replace it.

The radio in my 90 suburban would shut off. turned out to be the power switch. Flushed it with contact cleaner and never used the power switch again and it was fine.

Mine started picking up UFO conversations... I never told anyone... Lol I replaced it for a pioneer cause it would pick up any signal and just lose it at any time. Static was the majority of my music on my comute.

My stock radio was having the same problems. One day it just stopped playing. I sent it to get checked out and turns out the circuit board on some years were made of ceramic. Hitting bumps/potholes over time causes the board to crack or break. These guys replaced the board and I stopped having the problem.
