quick speaker question

91 camaro z28 convertible

whats the best fitting speaker for dash without having to modify my dash pad...its in really good shape and i don't want to have to cut anything off it. i am going to be replacing all of my speakers and head unit so i would like something better than stock but fits like stock

Same here, got some new 4x6's and 6x9's this past weekend from Pioneer for a total of $100. The dash ones are 200 watts and the back ones are 400 watts. They were simple to install and I was finally able to clean all the dirt of the pad that has been bothering me. Didnt get under it though because I was kind of irritated after I discovered that my t-tops had soaked my whole driver seat (put some peel and stick weather strip in there to help stop the leaking, I hope).

Re: quick speaker question

I've got some older cerwin vega 4x6 plates and all I had to do was put some longer screws and washers on the driver side to keep it from hitting the gauge cluster.
