Car Stereo Question
I was wondering if I can use a double din stereo like the one in the link I have included will work without and heavy modification to my Camaro?

Thanks for any help. I like this type for my car as my Explorer already has a flip out tv.

Re: Car Stereo Question
Good question i have the same.
If i remember right a single din stereo is 2 inches tall and 2 din is 4 inches tall. Another question, on different trim levels of firebirds, did the opening size for the stereo change?

Re: Car Stereo Question
we have din and a half openings; you will have to chop up the trim bezel, slightly modify the hvac control bracket up, and make a new mounting bracket for the radio. so its possible, but its not a simple change by any means

Re: Car Stereo Question
Dang. Had to see to believe and after measuring I saw your right. And finding a 1.5 din stereo is not exactly cheap. Looks like it will be a single din with din kit for me.
