Re: Antenna
My personnal preferrence is to stay OEM. Its bad enough to see a Firebird with Chrome 5 spoke IROC rims, which I have seen in San Bernadino CA. a few years back.

Re: Antenna
I was a Communications Specialist in the US ARMY. A "stronger antenna" is not your problem. Having a seperate or built in power amplifier will make a signal travel futher but it will not help with having a strong clean recieving signal. There are dead spots all over the world. You can stand about 10 feet infront of a high wattage antenna and not get a dang signal. Thats a dead spot. The air around us is littered with AM and FM frequencies. Along with am and fm frequencies is bluetooth, microwave, and extraterestrial signals from outer space. All these frequencies can and will affect a signal. So to combat a unwanted signal, you must have a good receiver and tranmitter. The electronic devices within a stereo of R/T (reciever, transmitter) are built by different companies. SOme companies make cheap devices to get the job done as well save money to capitalize in profits. So in this case its not the antenna, its the device that you are using. If you have a cheap electronic, well then, you get what you pay for.
What you can do is petition and have many people stand behind you to have the broadcasting company build a retrans tower. This will retransmit the signal to a longer distance. Or you can have the FCC contact the transmitting company to see if they can increase the signal wattage in their transmitter antenna.
