Static!!!!!!!
Okay, I have a 87 TA, when I'm cruising along, listening to the FM radio, and then roll up my window, (power windows) there will be static emitting from my speakers. (only while the window is rolling up) don't seem to be as bad when I roll the window down, just up. It also seems worse with the driver's side window. Any suggestions? Keep in mind I've used several different radios, All stock delco units, one was a original plain cassette deck, and the other is a cd player with 7 band eq, (the ones in the late 90's 4th gen's) both have same problem, makes me think it's my wiring, but I wouldn't know where to start.

Yeah, I'm thinking that it is a wiring issue. Seems like you are getting interference noise for some reason. Have to say though, I have never come across someone catching the noise when rolling up the windows, but definitely look into the wiring.

I believe you can go to Radio Shack and buy a noise adapter that fits on the positive wire to the radio. This should take care of it I would think.
Re: Static!!!!!!!
Did you install new speakers and run new speaker cables to the amp. I had the same problem. The speaker cable is too close to the power wire for the windows. The power is being picked up by the speaker wire. You only hear it when they go up because it takes more power to roll the windows up.
