Hello. I am installing a head unit with a rear view camera.And I have tried searching,but i cant find an answer. My head unit has a wire coming from it that says" B+ rear switch" And i have read that my reverse light wires are dark blue and light green... So i tried to splice into the dark blue wire(on shifter harness) and my camera just stays on all the time. Does this dark blue wire always have power? Am i correct in assuming that it will be the light green wire, that only has power when i put the car in reverse?..Sorry,its probly common knowledge to most on here, but i just dont know. thanks for any help.

 

You're right -- it's the light green wire you want. No worries either -- I wouldn't think that's common knowledge
