Re: Filling sound

you are going to lose some sound when you have the windows open in any car. some of this can be made up for with a front and rear speaker amp. but not knowing what you have now and your budget its hard to make a suggestion.

Re: Filling sound

Jwfirebird,
Thank you for your input i really don't have a budget i really want clear sound i have done many stereos before and never have had it sound so distorted i have done tweeters and other things like that before but i do not want to alter the interior as you know these speakers are mounted in weird location an I'm just really looking for a way to make up for it so any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks again
Sam

Re: Filling sound

pretty common around here is the questions about the poor placement of speakers. but i think most would say the best setup would be to make door or kick panels for 6.5s and run tweeters on the dash and generally if you open the windows alot you would want relatively high power speakers and amp to overcome the noise. then a sub for the low frequencies, what kind and how much power depends on your music and intended use

Re: Filling sound

this would be a good setup for rock music you would bridge two channels of the amp for a single 4ohm 200w sub in a sealed box
