My best replacement stock setup. No modification.

Hey all,

I bought a pair of polk db461 and rockford fosgate t1693. Both sets fit in the car without modification. I also purchased a pioneer deh x7500hd head unit, which fit in my custom single din receiver bracket. For anyone looking for the best sound without modification, I believe this is the way to go. (Unless you can get your hands on some boston acoustics 746's).

Tell me what you think!

Ok sure ill try and take some pics tomorrow!

Previous owner did this not me. I actually like it, its my favorite thing he did considering the only other thing he did was take apart the car and put it back together wrong lol. It looks stock.

I would also like to see photos. This is exactly what I want to do. I want to keep my car so I can put all the stock speakers and head unit back into the car if/when I want to sell it some day and the buyer wants it stock. But I am having a tough time with the stock stereo. I need bluetooth and iPod connections when I take my car on my 90 mile commute to work occasionally. Just curious, what kind of wattage does the head unit put out or are you using an amp? It would be nice to have a little more punch but nothing extreme. Im an old guy LOL!! I am not well versed in car audio so photos would be nice so I can see what your talking about. Thanks.

I have yet to see the bracket. I am thinking of gutting a dead GM stereo and replacing the internals with just an amp/line-level convertor and 5VDC power, and the faceplate would be flat black and become a docking port. The only thing I would be missing would be AM and CD.
