8's in quarters
Has anyone put 8's in their rear quarters? I think I want to do it, and would like some pointers before I start. I plan to use Kicker Freeair's.
Thanks in advance!

In a mag once, i saw someone who did that. However, you may be less then impressed the the results. Freeairs dont sound all that good. If you want bass, you really need to put subs in an enclosure.

Sorry, I should've been clearer on my plans.
The 8's would be in addition to the Solo-baric 12 that I have in the back. I want them for about 60-180 Hz. Then the front's can take over.
I have ran Kicker Freeair's in the past (12's in an infinite baffle configuration) and was very happy with them. The key to doing freeair's is keeping the front sealed from the back. That is the hard part in the quarter panel.
I think I may have seen it in a magazine before, too, maybe that's where I go tthe idea (Can't remember sh**!)
Thanks for your input!

I had a pair of 8s in my 6x9 locations in my firebird. Hmm. I wonder where those went. I know I took them out of the car when I sold it. Oh well, anyway, I ran them from 60-300 because my boston plates in the dash couldn't play anything below 100hz, and I didn't want the sub going that high. Overall, they were decent, but overall I'd say it was a waste of time. Putting 6.5s up front made a much bigger improvement.

this is what they look like
It is a 1998 Camaro with 8" in the panels, I am sure he can help you with some ideas on how to do it.
