Got new cd player in...now for questions

Got new cd player in...now for questions


OK,i gotta new cd player and i love it but wen the bass hits the lights flicker and also my lights on the inside are on when i turn on the deck like the lights to light up the gears...they also flicker too!
Also,when i was putting it in and played it to see if it would work the end got really hot...now its in and when i take out the cds their warm too.Anybody have any suggestions to why this is happenin...

Well, do you have an amp? If you have an amp and it hits hard, the alternator wont have enough time to bring the voltage up to compensate, so you get a dimming effect. Usually a capacitor will help keep the lights from dimming.

As for the deck getting hot, thats normal. The deck has a built in amp, and they all give off heat. Even the stock deck has a little heat sink built into the side. Its nothing to worry about.
