I need help guys. Car show is on the 30th and I need a original cassette player radio for my 89 GTA with steering wheel controls. If you have one that works, I am a definite buyer ASAP!

I have this one. I can't remember if it was from my '89 GTA (w/ steering wheel controls) or my '90 Trans Am (no steering wheel controls). The tape player was kind of questionable, but otherwise it worked great.

According to this site: http://www.aertech.com/AER-Technolog...duct-Items.htm
that radio is for 89 only. HTH!

Re: Anyone have a working 89 Trans Am Radio I can buy?

Thanks, bigal55!

That raises a concern, though. I don't see a place for the steering wheel controls to plug into the radio. I'm concerned that this radio wasn't original in either of my cars. Based on the info you provided, it clearly wasn't original in my '90, and the lack of a steering wheel control input suggests it wasn't original in my '89, either.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Its a stock pontiac radio. Not a steering wheel controlled one tho. It could absolutely be original to a 90 Firebird.
