Re: UQ7 subwoofer switch help
One button turns the amp on, the other turns it off. OFF is on the left, ON on the right. Simple as that

Re: UQ7 subwoofer switch help
Thank you!
I have to figure out how to incorporate that switch in my dash.
I already have 2 switches and 2 "holes" to use for both
Thinking of cutting open a new hole for the UQ7 switch.
Any ideas ?

Thanks for posting that. I didn't realize the switch was different in the early cars. Always learn something new hanging around here.

Re: UQ7 subwoofer switch help
The switch is originally on the left of optional switch "bar", it's held the same way the rear defrost switch is held, but on its left.
As for the trim piece, you can either find an 82-84 trim piece that has the opening for the rear wiper/uq7 switch (same location) or cut a hole. But doing it right and clean looking might be hard without the proper tools.

Re: UQ7 subwoofer switch help
Question does anyone know where I can buy another OEM subwoofer amp switch for my 84 trans am.
When I turn my radio on the light next to the switch lites up and I cannot turn it off other than when I turn off the radio
Don
