Power and volume issue

I have a 1989 Iroc z and the dome light, lighter outlet and volume on the radio won't work at all . Also every time I use the car I have to jump it. I haven't had the car on the road in about a year and half but before I took it off the road I put a brand new altenator and battery in it and I always have started it as often as I could and everything was working fine till all this started happening a month ago. The car is now back on the road for the summer and the car is like brand new it has 24,000 original miles on it idk what could possibly be wrong with it I take great care of the car does anyone have any idea what this issue could be?

Does the clock on the radio stay on when the key is off?

Re: Power and volume issue

radio lights should dim with headlights going on.

if the volume decreases, you may have a grounding problem either in the radio or headlights.
