stealth boxes

This is prombaly a Q for Jim
I am going to ANVENTIALY put 2 12" in my car.
What kinds af boxes can I use in order to get to the spare in about 5-10 min easily.
I what to be able to use the hatch a little bit but not alot.
Is there a way to make two stealth boxes on the sides facing in with 1 Eclipes aluminuim or titanium 12" (hopefully or at leat some that max out at least 400w) on each side and the amp(s) in the middle at the bottom of the well?
This would concerve space and could lay things on the top of the boxes?
What kind of sound quality would this give me?
Whould the box have to be fiberglass?
How much would the boxes run me?
Thanks for you r help everyone.
Joey

BTW I have a '86 Camaro SC

I don't know exactly how much airspace those subs require, but from what's been said about it's extreme excursion, it's probably a lot, and any box as small as you describe wouldn't fit that bill.

With box that I made in the article, I can get to the spare tire in just a couple minutes without even removing the box. I simply left the lower panel screws out when I put the box in so that when I remove the rest of the screws in a time of need, I need only pull the upper tab out from under it's slot and the whole panel slides out straight up.

It would be a pain to make a stealth box for our cars, and still be able to get the spare out really easily.. in my experience most 12in. subs need around 1.5 cu feet of airspace. This makes it hard.

I dont know anything about the tech. specs of the eclipse subs.

I would suggest looking at their required airspace (it should tell you somewhere) then look at your trunk well and see if there is a way that you could create enough airspace with a very oddly designed box.

Sorry I could not help more

I am told the titaniums need ONLY .78 cubic feet boxes.
What would the posibility be to make two box facing toward one another that have a stair step on the sides so they stick out but can be moved. This shoul leave space between the boxes correct.
I could put my amps in th middle between the boxes at the bottom and cover them it should form something like this.
please forgive my art

There's really no way to tell until you try. .78 is small enough that you could probably build the box small enough to make it removable if needed.
