going to get mine fixed..but until then I did run across the same type. with a upgraded CD player
paid $180 and it would pass for new.(not selling any of them). looking to get my yellow unit fixed..

Replacement CD drives are not cheap but can be found. Being a Yellow letter unit it's always worth fixing.

Can anyone comment on the sound quality using an original radio with AUX jack installed compared to a modern day radio with AUX?
I'd rather keep the stocker but if sound quality suffers, I'll go aftermarket.

I'm looking for a Delco EQ radio/cassette that would have come with my 86 Iroc.

As I understand, later in the 80's there was a change to the connector to one with many more pins. I think the 86 uses the earlier (12? pin) connector.

If anyone has any good leads on a good working unit that would be a match for my car, let me know.

At the moment, no one here, and I don't have a good local source right now either. I've been screwed over by both Ron in OH and by Matt in PA - those 2 guys had been the "go to's" here on TGO.

Sadly,... at this moment I don't have much - if any - BOSE parts available. the 2-3 decks I've got are complete and a couple were modified. If I come across any BOSE stuff in the near term for salvage purposes I'll be sure to let you know !
