Stock speaker specs?

Just wondering what the stock ERS type sound system thats on our 3rd gens ('89 and '90 particularly).

I have a nice 200 watt amp and am going to get 2 kenwood 8" 200 or 300 watt subwoofers. Just wondering if I'm going to really need to repplace my stock speakers or if they'll be fine.

Will this system sound alright?

Just asking because I wont have a Camaro untill march.....CANT WAIT!!!

Do you like how your stock speakers sound now? Adding an amp and sub will give more bass, but otherwise it will sound just as bad as it does now. Actually, it'll be worse because the bass output from those stock decks sucks, and when you amplify it and feed it to a sub, it just makes it worse. I would strongly suggest that you replace the deck and speakers before you become concerned with amplification and subwoofers.
