Kickpanel speakers

I've seen alot of camaro's with the speakers in the lower kick panels in the front. Where are they getting them. Are they custom made or do you buy them somewhere. If they can be made where can i find a set of plans or is it strictly by eye.

Custom kicks are relativly easy to make. you lay down some sheets fiberglass the whole area and make a wood baffle. You then fiberglass the baffle in, cover it with vinal or fabric and secure it in. This is a very broad overview and is a little more complicated. IMO the hardest part is the vinal work. If you go to a shop to get them done they will charge you anywhere from $500-$750 for them.

Your other option is to get some q-form kick panels. They pre made plastic replacement kick panels that house speakers. I expected alot more for the $200 they cost. I ended up just making my own. I still have the q forms if you want them for like $100, but I would really recomend trying to make your own though.

I've included a pic of my Q form kicks. There is not much to them but I was unsure on my talent on making them as they will be very visible! I must of got really lucky as I picked up this set unused on Ebay for $50.
