I got two twelves and they are destroying my car, literally. When I put them in, my dash was tight and didn't rattle much, but now after about two months of having them, everytime I play my music the whole thing vibrates. 2 12s are plenty for a Camaro. If a song has a really long, low note my whole back end will start rattling to the point where its not even enjoyable to listen to them anymore. But I still love them, and would recommended them to anyone. Make sure you give them at least 300 watts a piece, and It would be wise to somehow tighten all your loose screws and panels and lay dynomat down because they will find every loose panel in your car.

i think matthew was saying you going for a whole lot of overkill. 2 12s is vibrating his interior panels off the car. 3 would probably be unenjoyable because of the rattle. if you do 3 i personally think that would be sweet, but only if you deadend all of the rattles. there are better subs too. perfects seem like they want to disassemble themselves after a while. i think after a certain time of bass, the surround and the cone have a dissagreement and go thier seperate ways.

im not worried about the rattles because after a few past systems i had, i sealed them all up. (i mean cerwin vega stroker equipped systems) how long until the surrounds start breaking? will the 3-year warranty cover it?

ive also heard good things about the Cerwin Vega Vega Series subs...i was thinking of three 12s sealed, or two 12s ported if these infinity subs are going to break on me. which settup will i be better off with: the infinities, or one of my cerwin vega settups i said before?

thanks a lot guys!

First off, the Vega124's, assuming that is what u r installing, are much better subs. They have a 1.5 inch excursion. I love these subs, however to get them to sounds correct, you must install them the right way. This means 2.4 cubic feet each in a ported box. I have spent many hours working on this, and you cannot fit 2 in the rear well without a lot of work. I mean you would have to cut the interior left pannel, remove the box thing, and build the box flush with the hatch motor all the way past the edge of the back seats. I would not recommend them in a sealed box eithor, these subs are very effient and need all the space. I am pusing mine with a Rockford 800a2 bridged mono. If u really think u need more than this, u should hear it first. If u really want 2 12's...get a different sub. I got mine at employee at BB for 85.16 with the 4yr service plan....

I definately think 3 would be overkill. 2 sound so good and will pound all day and not have a problem that I see no reason to have 3. Plus you won't have to build as big of a box and you can spend the rest of your money upgrading the rest of your system.

The perfects are awesome subs. I've dynamatted and dynamatted and dynamatted some more and I still can't keep the car from finding new rattles.. Couple things about these, give them about 400 RMS watts.. Until I gave them that much, they would hardly move.. But now they POUND. Get a good box too.. I wouldn't run three of them though, its tough to do that with 1 amp and could get expensive if you want more than 1 amp.. If you really want 3 12"S and only 1 amp then I'd suggest something with dual voice coils..

Sorry I took so long to reply, holidays and everything else...
