GTA stereo questions

I would like to know the difference between 88 and 89 stereo's in the GTA. I know you can get adapters for the 89 to fit aftermarket stereo's but not for the 88, also who makes the adapter's. My factory stereo just died and I need a replacement.
Thanks in advance.

i dont think that there is much difference between the 88 and the 89 head units, what I did when i redid my stereo was to put in an aftermarket head unit, and since the steering wheel wouldnt work anymore, it gave me an excuse to put in a grant. this is just my suggestion
