factory kick panel speakers help!!

hey guys i have a pair of factory bose kick panels with the amp and speaker built in, here is my question im putting them n my iroc which did not originally have them, there are four wires on the plugs coming out of them :1 black 1 gray 1 orange 1 light green, my question is what do i run these wires 2?if anyone knows? it would be a big help, im guessing that 2 leads are for the speaker and that 2 leads are for power for the amp?

If you don't have a bose stereo, you can't use the factory amp, and without the factory amp, the factory speakers sound absolutely horrid. I'd either plan on buying new speakers for the kicks, or scrapping the project.

Hey Jim you got the kick panels in your car?
i just hooked them up in my car today at work and didn't install the Bose Head Unit unit the correct wiring is orange-power,black-ground grey speaker ground and grenn speaker hot the sound AWESOME So it is now a fact that you don't need the factory BOSEhead unit to make those kick panels work And if anyone is interested in buying the rear shelf with the 2 Bose speakers in them let me know i also got the headunit too!!!!

Yes, it's true that Bose speakers will play off an ordinary deck, even an aftermarket one. But usually when you turn the volume on your deck up to like 2, the speakers are already at full blast. If, for example, you were also adding an amplified subwoofer, you'd have a lot of trouble getting the levels to match.
