I'm looking for opinions on this one...My sail panel speakers are not 6x9's, they are actually a 4x6 and a 4" round "subwoofer". My question is should I get/make a board to install a 6x9, or replace with the original sizes. Also, Infinity and Clarion have 4x6's that have a smaller round woofer and a smaller tweeter mounted to the side. Is this better than a 4x6 with a center-mounted tweeter?

 

The seprate component 4x6 are much better than the conventional ones but I would go with a good 6x9 instead. The 4x6 wont give you the performance u want plus a good seprate 4x6 will run u 150 (infinity kappas) while a good 6x9 is like 200 or so , but it is up to u.

 

hey i just looked through Crutchfield and they have all infinity car speakers on sale. 99 for the 4x6 and 200 for the 3way 6x9. Personaly if you are going to make a plate to put 6x9s I would just put 5.25 component speakers instead. They are also on sale for 179! hey good luck
