jim is right. a bandpass box consists of a ported enclosure on one side of the sub and a sealed enclosure on the other. buy removing that plexi, you've just eliminated one of the enclosures. i'd say ditch the bandpass altogether for a sealed box, but thats my opinion (very SQ biased). let us know how the box sounds.

It'll sound like a severly undersized ported box.

flat plexi is realy cheap, i bought some to mount my rear speakers in. however, i dont think bending is cheap and not easy to do. i broke quite a bit of the stuff while just cutting it, must be very patient. not too sure where you'd find a place to get it bent either. maybe get two pieces and bond/glue them together?

That part i don't know. I bought a 1/8" 10"x24" I think it was for like $8 or so but you'd need plexi alot thicker than that. As for the curve issue I remember seeing how Hot Rodders make their own custom turn signals and lens. To make the lens they took wood and shaped it to the fit they were looking for and took a part of a turn signal from a junked car and cut it to the size of the of their mold. Then they laid the lens onto of the mold and then they stuck it into the oven(yep they showed the one in their house!) with it on like 325degrees. The lens softened up and laid to the shape of the mold. It was only in there for like 1 1/2-2minutes. Pulled it out and let it cool and there was their new lens for their turn signal. The reason I'm blabbing about all this is because you might have to form the plexi if there's much of a curve to it. Plexi cracks really easy if it's put into much of a bind. Depending on how thick the plexi is would depend on the amount and length of heat if needed. I would just go and talk to the glass shop and then go from there.

I have cut plexi before...while it is not easy it isn't havrd either. Cut the plexi to gross size....run it over a table saw where you want the bend with the blade almost completely down to just score it with the blade....then heat and bend slowly or it will break. I have done this many times with many different thidcknesses of plexi.
