Alarm Problems
I haven't had time to look too closely, but my alarm(Alpine 8440) goes off for apparently no reason. The LED flashes code 5, which is the accesory(Glass Break and Shock sensor). Why? I can set the alarm, and as I'm walking away, it will just go off. What do I check for?

Either you have a defective shock sensor or the sensitivity on the alarm unit is way too high. Either lower the sensitivity adjust yourself or let the people who installed your alarm do it for you.

Setting the shock sensor is easy, and I think that I've got it where I want it, but how do I set the glass-break sensor? They're both on the same circuit.

The "shock" and "glass-break" sensor is basically the same thing. Better known as an Impact sensor, this device is usually triggered by low frequencies (like the sound made when something hits the car.
Since you know how to adjust the sensitivity, play around with it for a bit by hitting the glass with your fist (but not hard enough to break it) It should not go off if you tap the glass, but go off if you give it a moderate bump.
