HELP! 1988 GTA no sound from speakers.

Hello, I posted this a few days ago but got no response and im sure there is quite a few of us running aftermarket radios in our third gens. I have a 1988 GTA with the performance sound. So a few weeks ago i installed a aftermarket single din radio, Install went well and turned out really clean looking. When i got the car 10+ years ago as a roller it came with no radio. So now that i got my 5.3 swap done i wanted to jam to some tunes right... Well what i thought was going to be an easy install turned into a complicated headache... Here's how it all started. Removed old radio holddown, installed new holddown, wired up new radio and installed into dash.. Went so smooth. Got my aux cord from my other car. got my jam on and plugged it in. NO SOUND OUT OF SPEAKERS. I removed the radio and checked all my powers and grounds have 12+ All the time and a keyed 12 volt. Tested memory save on new radio it saves FM stations so i know its got good power. and ground. Did some searching online because i ran into a similar issue with my other car with an amp. But could not find about an amp on my car even though it has the gain switch and says performance sound. But did find a post on a Camaro with the Bose system that there was a relay behind dash for the amp. So out of SAG i removed the passenger side panels and found a relay with a pink wire cut and wired up and running to the radio compartment... I thought bingo thats it. I thought the guy before me must of wired it to a 12Volt on the radio he had in. SO wired it up to the 12 volt and got everything ready, and STILL NO SOUND OUT OF SPEAKERS. So i unplugged the pink wire from the 6 wire relay and moved it around and wired it back in all of a sudden MUSIC STARTS PLAYING!!! so as im jamming out i put car back together thinking okay maybe relay was stuck from not moving for 10 years and i pull car out of garage and do a run around block. get back shut car off and go inside to tell my wife on the fiasco i just had. She says she wants to hear what it sounds like so me being proud bring her outside and show her what it sounds like and BAM NO SOUND FROM SPEAKERS....... but audible click from relay now that i know where it is.. Her comment "guess you did something wrong". So i take it all back apart and play with wire (unplugging it and plugging it back in rapidly) and it starts playing music but as soon as relay denergize it takes 4 or 5 clicks to start working.. So use mitchell use my MDT 10 Mac scanner diagrams I CAN NOT FIND A DIAGRAM SHOWING MY WIRING! And being a professional A tech this is pissing me off. Obviously it works but do i have a bad amp, do i have a bad relay do i have other problems, is it a 5Volt, that i do not know. I could sure use some help on this fellas..
