Do Amp kits make difference in sound

I just got my new stereo and now I need a wiring kit for my amp and subs. I am going with the 4 guage. I am going to be running 4 ohm load 475 rms in to two mtx thunder 8000's. There are plenty of kits on ebay and was wondering if some compnays made a better kit than others. The one I am looking at is thunder, and lightning audio. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...em=1218155927. This is the auction. think it will be good. I don't know much about wiring kits.

any 4 gauge wiring kit should do the trick. The two that you mentioned are both quality brand names, so you'll be fine.

On the link to ebay you have, there's one thing that concerns me. It said that there was an 80 amp fuse, but I didnt see mention of a holder for it. You will need to wire a fuse as close as possible to the battery, and it should be properly sized.
