IROC Stolen! Begging for your help! Please read...
A couple of weeks ago I finished installing about $3000 worth of stuff in my IROC. Last week, it was stolen (the whole car) from right in front of my house. The insurance refuses to cover the audio equipment because I didn't call it in...(I didn't even have time to). The only option they've given me is to find an ad for a car that was fixed up similar to mine selling for a higher price than $5348.
I need your help! IF you know of anyone selling a third-gen camaro with about 80000+ miles on it, with equipment comparable to the following please let me know!!
- Pioneer Premier P930 Head unit
- Boston Acoustics ProSeries 6.53 Components
- 2 JL Audio 12W3 Subs
- Ryjo Customs Box
- DJSexay Kickpanels
- PPI PC2600 Amp
- Earthquake PH-D2 Amp
- Neons
- IROC rims
- new exhaust, radiator, battery, and alternator
It obviously doesn't have to have all of this, but just be fixed up, and selling for more than $5348.
Thanks for your help!

If they try and sell it they will get caught. The vin number goes through DMV in every state and it'll turn up that the car was stolen. Hopefully it'll have all the stereo equipment still in it.
Good luck.
As sad a story as this is let it be a lesson to all of you that you NEED a starter kill of some sort. It shouldn't be considered an option, it should be standard and installed before stereo equipment.

That's a good question that DJSexay asked about the receipts.
The main reason is that (at least in IL) you have 30 days to notify your insurance company about any changes to your policy.
For instance; If I were to buy an IROC tomorrow (not yours I hope
) then I would have until Feb. 11th to call the insurance compnay and tell them that I have another car to insure.
If I get into an accident during that time, they have to cover it!!!!!!! Full coverage!!!!! As long as I wasn't using it to rob a bank, etc.
If I got my car painted, lowered, added a crate motor, and was gonna change it to a pleasure vehicle, I have 30 days from the day of the first mod I had done. I other words, I'd have 30 days to insure it that way, as a pleasure vehicle.
Worse case scenario. They will only cover equipment that was in the factory locations. So a sub box, or 6.5" components in the kick panels would not be covered. But the HU, and any speakers that were 4x6's and/or 6x9's should be covered. As long as you have the receipts.

AJ and DJSexay,
How do you know about the 30-day thing? My car has already been declared a total loss. IT was found the same day a few miles away from my house... needless to say, it's now a piece of junk. I can't seem to find this 30-day thing anywhere, but I know I've heard about it. It wasn't even 30 days before I installed the head-unit, so they should cover EVERYTHING, yet they are refusing to. The insurance company is AAA by the way.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Dan

We have the 30day thing here also in KY. I don't know if it would cover the Stereo but it would the car. I found out by my Insurance Co. And as DJ said about the receipts that's true here also. I would burning the phone up and getting some answers because IMO they're liable to cover it. Maybe call another Insurance Co and ask them. Since they aren't your Insurance Co. they might be straight with you because it's not costing them.
Number 1: That is pretty damn amazing that u found yer car, although unluckily it is now a piece of shiot... Sorry about that man, but I would now have my twin glock .40 ready to blow away the **** who took my ride... And I WOULD find him or them...
Number 2: What kinda crazy SOB are u too have that much equipment, wait wait, its not even just the equipment, even to have a stock IROC Z without an ALARM! AHHHHHHH!!! Seriously man, no offense but that was a serious mistake! I have a feeling that if u have comprehensive coverage on yer insurance, u have receipts, and had it stolen within 30 days, u will be able to fight it, and will win... Dont stop harrasing them! They have the money and they will do it... Bring em to court if in doubt... U will win man.... Never give up on that! I was in the same situation... Didnt even need a lawyer, I was on their **** *** 24/7 until they paid me to shut up.. And they will do the same to u brotha...

Sorry bro. You have my deepest sympathies. I always look in the auto traders and things around. I will keep my eyes open for you. Again that sucks and I am sorry.
