Yes.
I've got a few different designs that I'm using. In my IROC I've got the subs facing straight up toward the glass. In my friend's TA, I've got the sub facing straight toward the back of the car. I've also heard systems where the subs are facing forward a tad. I don't have any SPL measurements to prove it, but I believe that the system in my friend's TA has the highest output, or at least would if all other conditions were equal. Considering that it's a single 12" 8 ohm W0 sub being powered by a Kicker 652i Impulse amp, it does very well. the bass seems to be pretty clean, but I haven't had a whole lot of seat time since I finished the box and gave him his car back.

ok jim do the boxes you build on your site have the woofers angledvor straight up?? oh yeah about how much space is in each part of the box for the woofers. (i'm assuming the sub compartments are separated.

Most of my boxes have the subs facing straight up with 1.5 cubic feet of airspace per side, but I'm like Burger King. Your way, right away
. Ok, maybe not right away, but you get the point. I can build flat, angled, whatever.
