Re: SKAR speakers

In My Opinion,..... you should never use a 3-way speaker in the sail panel. A good 6x9 Woofer is needed back there to compensate for all the "high' tones that are pushed in your face by the front 4x6 dash speakers.

Just my .

Re: SKAR speakers

You got to match your speakers to the radio that your using for best results. I'd recommend 2 4-OHM rear speakers and 10-OHM front speakers with a factory head-unit; and 4 4-OHM speakers with an aftermarket head unit.

I would not recommend 4 4-OHM speakers with a factory head unit. This can ( and will sooner or later ) kill a factory head-unit.

Re: SKAR speakers

My factory Delco unit has gone bad, so I bought a new digital Pioneer unit, 1 din, with an 1 din adapter.
I hope the original speakers are OK, if not I have to replace them...

Re: SKAR speakers

Aftermarket head units are fine at 4 ohms. In fact all advertised ratings are based off 4 ohm loads. Anything lower than 4 ohms will probably kill it eventually like the Infinity Kappas.
