How to remove antenna if its up?

Antenna will not come out. - The antenna wont go all the way down so I am attempting to remove it but there is just not enough room because of the antenna being up. Any suggestions?

Remove the other bracket from the antenna, and maybe jack the car up?

Yeah that's what I am going to have to do. I already bought a stock manual antenna and hawks motorsports shorty 8" antenna and their billet retaining nut. So the stock power one will just go into the closet for future repair.

I took the one bolt out and disconnected it from.the bracket that holds it up. Is there another bracket?

Thats it, except for the grommet for the pigtail/ant cable. Have you tried pushing down the antenna itself. Maybe jack the car up like suggested.

Re: How to remove antenna if its up?

Un-clip the ECM wiring harness "U" retainer ( behind the kick panel )... then push ECM wiring "bulge' thru the body and into the fender well. You should be able to then push the harness low enough behind the fender well to get the power antenna past it.

You can also remove the 2 10mm screws that hold the rod type bracket to the antenna body ( visible / still installed in the picture you posted ) to help the removal process.

The antenna pigtail/cable are on a separate grommet. Just above the ECM harness.

I thought it has enough slack it isn't effecting getting the bottom turned toward the opening. But I am going to remove tho and see if it helps.
I tried pushing the antenna down but it would only go about half way. Even tried tapping it with a rubber mallet 😆.
