Hello newbie here. I am trying to put a 1990 oem radio 16088422.
I am trying to put an oem radio to a 1990 Grand Prix model number 16088422. The car has an after market radio and the oem harness is cut. I tried to follow the diagram on the top of the rAdio but I seemed not to get it right. I see pictures here of the radio 16088422 on a bench testing. Could anyone show me that connections so I can test it on a bench as well?
which of these wires I supply with 12V and which one is the ground?
Thank you

The yellow and orange wires are power.Ground is black.To bench test connect the orange and yellow wires to positive on power supply and black to negative

ORANGE = full time power
YELLOW = switched power
BLACK = Ground
You will not be installing that radio into your car; It's basically a paper-weight because the only way that radio will unlock is if it gets plugged into a 90 Bonneville, or Grand Prix that has the proper wiring to accommodate it. ( FYI: It is NOT compatible with Trans Am / GTA ). It's DELCO LOC head unit and when you get it all wired up properly this is what you will see,.........
Once you've exhausted all your other options, I'll offer $45 shipped for it. I've got 2 of those head units here that need small parts. ( I'm basically hoping - gambling - the $45 that it *might* have a working cassette) deck.
