How to change the 4x6's out of the front.

I am going to put acutic 4x6s and 6x9 where the stock ones are. I can get the 6x9, but the 4x6 look alot tougher to get too. How in the hell do you get to them. I seems that you got to go under the dash? any help would be appreated.

its pretty simple, just look under the dash on the left, unscrew those guys, then follow along near the bottom of the pad by the gauge plate and you'll see another one. then get the ones at the rear of the pad by the windshield. thing slides right off.

Yea its pretty tricky. I recently installed new 4x6's and what you really need is the right tools.

In my '91 Camaro, changing the front 4x6s is as easy as it gets. There are four screws in the defroster vents (use 7mm socket) and another (about) 6 screws under the front edge of the dash. Remove these, tilt your steering wheel down, and lift/pull the dash pad off. (Be careful with the pad because it's easy to damage.) You should now see the speakers. 4 screws hold them down. This is a REALLY easy project.
